Biographical Information

Multi-talented Mathieu Brau plays as a pitcher, catcher and outfielder for the Hawks de La Guerche de Bretagne in Division Elite. He hit .204/.246/.241 in 2007 and had 15 passed balls in 9 games at catcher, his primary position. In 2008, he batted .200/.383/.267 with 32 walks in 39 games and 42 runs, leading his team in that department. Brau allowed 18 runs in 13 1/3 IP. He played at least 10 games that year in center field, at shortstop and at catcher.

In 2009, Brau produced at a .283/.437/.380 rate with 12 times hit by pitch in 26 contests. He gave up five runs in nine innings on the hill.

He appeared as a member of their squad on the 2008 Challenge de France finals.

He joined the Rouen Huskies for the 2010 Elite season.
