Biographical Information

Outfielder Masumi Agata played for Sankyo Seiki in the industrial leagues. He then joined the Nankai Hawks of Nippon Professional Baseball for 1965 and 1966. He hit .167/.225/.278 in 36 at-bats the first year and was hitless in three at-bats the latter campaign. He did not appear for Nankai in either the 1965 Japan Series or 1966 Japan Series (both of which they lost to the Yomiuri Giants).
