Biographical Information

Masato Tomoyose has umpired over 2,500 games in Nippon Pro Baseball. He was the first NPB ump from Okinawa. He debuted in the Central League in 1980. Tomoyose worked the All-Star Games in 1987, 1990, 1994, 1998 and 2006. He has umpired in the Japan Series from 1992 through 1994, 1996 through 2002, 2004 and 2006. He will work the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
