Biographical Information[edit]

Masashi Nohara has played in Nippon Pro Baseball and for the Japanese national team.

The Hanshin Tigers drafted Nohara in the first round of the 2006 NPB draft. He spent the first four seasons of his career in the NPB Farm Leagues. Nohara also represented Japan in the 2010 Intercontinental Cup, hitting .269/.286/.385 with 5 runs in 7 games as a corner infielder and DH . The Nagasaki native debuted in the Central League in 2011, but he only had 25 at-bats combined over the next three years, and announced his retirement after the 2014 season. He also played briefly for the Canberra Cavalry, hitting .355/.375/.548 with 9 RBI in 8 games in the 2011-2012 Australian Baseball League.

Overall, Nohara had hit .120/.120/.120 in 3 seasons in NPB. He was more productive in the Japanese minors with a career average of .265 between NPB and the minors.
