Biographical Information[edit]
Masami Nakamura played first, third, the outfield and pitched in a brief professional career. At age 19, he hit .180/.351/.243 for the Yomiuri Giants with 16 walks in 77 plate appearances. The next year, his line read .220/.324/.314 and he was drafted into the Japanese military. Before he could play another game, he was killed in combat in 1945 in Nomonhan. His career statistics were .207/.333/.291 in 63 games.
