Biographical Information[edit]

Marvin Milkes served as General Manager of the Seattle Pilots in their one and only season, 1969. He stayed with the team through the 1970 season as they moved to Milwaukee to become the Brewers. He had been assistant GM of the Los Angeles Angels from 1961 to 1967 and GM of the Seattle Angels in 1968.

Milkes started out in baseball in 1946 as assistant GM of the Fresno Cardinals. In 1956 he won The Sporting News minor league executive of the year for the lower minors as the Fresno GM.
