Biographical Information

Pitcher Marvin Deal played in the minor leagues from 1951 to 1953. He was 5-9 with a 4.53 ERA between the Emporia Rebels and Colonial Heights-Petersburg Generals in 1951, 8-12 with a 4.27 ERA for the Brunswick Pirates in 1952 and 9-5 with a 4.34 mark for Brunswick in 1953. Overall, he was 22-26 with a 4.38 ERA in in 73 games.

He served as a photo reconnaissance photographer in the United States Army Air Corps/Air Force. He flew missions over Eastern Russia, North Korea and Vietnam.
