Biographical Information[edit]
Marty Becker's big league career consisted of 17 games in the outfield with the 1915 New York Giants. He played five years in the minors for Kalamazoo, also serving as manager in 1923 and 1924. In addition, he was in the Eastern League for five other years, playing for New London and Springfield. He hit .352 for the Kalamazoo Kazoos in 1913 and .324 for Springfield in 1921. "Baseball Necrology" states "he managed in the minor leagues for 15 years" (p. 26) but there is no support for this assertion in the minor league data on Baseball-Reference.com.
