Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Martin Sotelo began his professional career in 2005.

He was a starter for much of his early career, but after going 1-11 with a 7.27 ERA for the Guerreros de Oaxaca in 2008, he shifted to the bullpen full time. In 2010, the 24-year-old posted a 3.26 ERA in 60 games for Oaxaca, his lowest Mexican League ERA of his career through 2015 (save for a 0.00 mark he had in 3 1/3 innings in his first campaign).

He has also spent his winters playing in the Mexican Pacific Winter League, suiting up for the Mayos de Navojoa and Yaquis de Obregon.
