Martin Andonov is a Bulgarian baseball player who has been with the Buffaloes Blagoevgrad. He was in the MLB European Academy in 2010 and 2011 and also spent time training with the Washington Nationals organization in 2010.
Andonov was Bulgaria's youngest player and only left-handed pitcher in the 2011 European Championship Qualifier. The 17-year-old was dominant in his one start, against Slovenia, with two hits, two runs (one earned), five walks and 17 strikeouts in 9 innings. He easily led the qualifier in whiffs, seven more than Mihai Burlea of Romania, and tied for the lowest opponent average. Andonov also was used in the outfield, going 6 for 14 with a double, triple and 3 RBI as one of his club's better batters.
