Mark Van Noordwyk pitched for the South African national team.

In the 1998 Baseball World Cup, he debuted against the Dominican Republic, relieving Glen Morris. He made three appearances in the Cup, allowing four hits, a walk and four runs (two earned) in 2 2/3 IP, striking out four. Only Morris and Alan Phillips struck out more for South Africa. He surrendered eight hits and six runs (all earned) in four innings over three games in the 2001 Baseball World Cup.
