Mark Lerner

Mark Lerner became the managing principal owner of the Washington Nationals on June 14, 2018, when he succeeded his father, Ted Lerner, who stepped down from the role at the age of 92. Lerner had been one of the co-owners of the team since his father purchased the Nationals from Major League Baseball in 2006. He had previously worked for the family's real estate empire.

Lerner was born around 1954. He lost a leg to cancer in 2017.
