Biographical Informaiton[edit]

Mario Salas was 423-475 in 14 seasons managing in the Cuban Serie Nacional.

He was skipper of the Granjeros from 1968-1971, going 137-93, setting a team record for wins (57-42 in [[1968-1969 Cuban National League|1968-1969) and almost winning a title (47-19 in 1970-1971, a game and a half out). He returned in 1976-1977, the team's final season, and led them to a 20-19 finish.

Salas then had four stints managing Ciego de Ávila. As the team's first manager, he was 70-81 from 1977-1980. He was 81-90 from 1984-1987, only 36-91 from 1992-1994 and 79-101 in a final stint from 2001-2003.
