Biographical Information[edit]
Mario Cossio was 3-1 for the Cuban national team that own the 1950 Amateur World Series. He took their lone loss (against Mexico) but was one win behind Nicolas Genestas, the tourney leader. He split 1955 between the Longhorn League's Carlsbad Potashers and Roswell Rockets, playing 45 games for each. He was 5-3 with a 5.40 ERA and 75 BB in 77 IP, pitching 25 games (6 starts). He fielded .940 in 44 games in the outfield and hit .228/.346/.340 with five triples.
