Biographical Information[edit]
Marek Rejman was a top Czech slugger in the mid-1990s.
Rejman hit 12 homers in 1994, possibly second in the Extraliga in home runs (behind Pavel Budsky). In 1995, he slugged .917 to tie Budsky for the lead; his 10 homers also tied Budsky, possibly for the lead. In 1997, the Krc Altron star hit 11 homers tied Roger Deago for second in the league, two behind Roman Talda. He led in slugging (.874, .005 over Talda) and was second with 41 RBI (two behind Jiri Visek). He was on the Czech national team in the 1997 European Championship, their first European Championship and had helped them qualify in the 1996 European Championship - B Pool, which he led in homers.
Rejman played for VSK Express Brno from 1998-2009 and was apparently out of the Extraliga for some of this time. He hit his 50th Extraliga home run in 2002 to put him 7th in the league from 1993 (when records were first tracked) through 2002. He made a comeback in 2012 with the Tempo Titans Praha and was still active in 2016 at age 44, though no longer a star player as he had been 20 years prior.
