Biographical Information[edit]
Marus McKimmy has been a college coach.
McKimmy hit .293 as a college freshman and .380 as a sophomore, both in junior college. He batted .346/449/.519 with 58 runs in 58 games as a junior at San Jose State. In 2008, he transferred to Gonzaga and hit .300/.405/.454 with 51 runs in 58 games. He was assistant coach at Yakima Valley Community College from 2010-2012 then became head coach. He resigned after the 2015 season to become an assistant at Washington State University, but when Donnie Marbut was fired soon after at WSU, McKimmy ended up with no job there. McKimmy has been AGM and director of baseball operations for the Yakima Valley Pippins since October 2015.
