Biographical Information

Marcos Garcia has been a minor league pitcher and coach.

Garcia debuted with the 1989 AZL Mariners, going 4-5 with a 3.19 ERA (as per the 1990 Baseball Almanac; BR Minors lists 2.75). In 1990, Marcos fell to 3-7, 4.31 with a save for the Peninsula Pilots. He split 1991 between the [{San Bernardino Spirit]] (7-10, 3.46, 97 H in 130 IP) and the Jacksonville Suns (3-2, 4.35, 42 K in 41 1/3 IP). He wrapped up his playing career with Jacksonville in 1992, going 2-1 with a 1.59 ERA, allowing 13 hits in 22 2/3 IP. Given that kind of final line, one presumes injury ended his career.

Garcia was a minor league pitching instructor for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 1996-1998. He coached for the Everett AquaSox in 2000-2002 and remained with the Seattle Mariners organization as a minor league coach from 2003-2005. He was an electrical engineer from 2006-2008, then a construction manager in 2009. He returned to baseball in 2010-2011 as pitching coach of the AZL Giants.
