Biographical Information

Pitcher Marcelo Perez began his professional career in 2023. He was originally taken by the Los Angeles Angels in the 20th round of the 2021 amateur draft, but opted not to sign. He did sign after being taken by the Seattle Mariners in the 11th round of the 2022 amateur draft; his signing bonus was $125,000. He began 2023 with the Modesto Nuts. He earned multiple California League Pitcher of the Week honors in his first campaign.
