Mackeel Rodgers was a minor leaguer for three years.

Rodgers was picked by the Kansas City Royals in the fourth round of the 1999 amateur draft, the first position player they chose after seven straight pitchers that year. He made his pro debut with the GCL Royals and hit only .200/.243/.257 while fielding .879 with 16 errors in 30 games at short. With the same club in 2000, Mackeel batted .209/.321/.297 and fielded just .786 at his new primary position, third base. He wrapped up in 2001 with the GCL Royals (.217/.270/.333, .970 fielding as an OF) and the Burlington Bees (2 for 10, BB). He played for the Virgin Islands national team in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games.
