Biographical Information[edit]
Mack Stewart pitched 24 games for the wartime Chicago Cubs in 1944-45. He was a part of the pennant-winning 1945 effort but did not appear in the 1945 World Series.
Stewart was the same age as Bill "Swish" Nicholson.
Stewart's entire minor league career was spent in the South, from 1937-51, at places like Nashville, Charleston and Tulsa. He won around 150 games in the minors, with a peak year of 24-8 for Charleston in 1942.
