Biographical Information[edit]

Luis Salinas was redshirted at Sacramento City College in 2016 and pitched 3 2/3 innings the next year. [1] Pitching for the Honduran national team in the 2017 Central American Games, he was roughed up for seven hits, three walks and nine runs (all earned) in 2 1/3 IP against champion Nicaragua; he took the loss against Leo Crawford. He played the field against Costa Rica, going 1 for 4 with a walk and a RBI. He had a walk and a stolen base coming off the bench versus El Salvador. [2]

As a sophomore, he had a 2-0, 1.26 record. [3] Transferring to San Francisco State to complete his engineering degree, he was 0-1 with a 5.91 ERA in 2019 and 1-0 with a 0.66 ERA in six games in the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season.
