Biographical Information

Luis Salinas was redshirted at Sacramento City College in 2016 and pitched 3 2/3 innings the next year. Pitching for the Honduran national team in the 2017 Central American Games, he was roughed up for seven hits, three walks and nine runs (all earned) in 2 1/3 IP against champion Nicaragua; he took the loss against Leo Crawford. He played the field against Costa Rica, going 1 for 4 with a walk and a RBI. He had a walk and a stolen base coming off the bench versus El Salvador.

As a sophomore, he had a 2-0, 1.26 record. Transferring to San Francisco State to complete his engineering degree, he was 0-1 with a 5.91 ERA in 2019 and 1-0 with a 0.66 ERA in six games in the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season.
