Biographical Information[edit]

Luis Sánchez pitched one game for the Mexican national team in the 2002 Intercontinental Cup. Relieving Gerardo Hernandez with one out in the second, he lasted 1 1/3 innings against South Korea before Jonatan Ramirez replaced him. He allowed four hits (including a homer to In-hwan Koo), a walk and three runs (all earned). He didn't have Mexico's highest ERA in the event, as Carmona Parra was higher.
