Biographical Information[edit]
Luis Rodríguez has been on the Puerto Rican national team.
He was 1 for 5 with a walk as a college freshman in the COVID-19-shortened 2020 then 1 for 10 with a walk the next year. In '22, he was 2-2 with a save and a 4.28 ERA, batting .214/.361/.214. During 2023, he went 2-0 with six saves, a 4.50 ERA and 60 K in 40 IP, hitting .222/.417/.444. Only fellow Bayamón native Erick Gonzalez had more saves in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. As a senior, he posted a 6-4, 5.11 record with 3 saves and 70 K in 56 1/3 innings. He tied for 6th in the SWAC in wins, tied for third in saves and was 7th in strikeouts.
After posting a 3.82 ERA for Puerto Rico in the 2024 U23 Baseball World Cup, he made their team for the 2024 Premier 12 but did not get into a game. [1]
