Luis Rivera was a backup catcher for Guantánamo. He went 0 for 5 as a rookie in 2004-2005. In 2005-2006, he was 14 for 55 with 3 doubles, a home run and five walks. He went 10 for 42 with two walks and a homer in 2006-2007. In 2007-2008, Rivera was 18 for 66 with a double, four home runs, 14 walks and 28 whiffs. He was 3 for 15 with two walks in 2008-2009 then did not play in the next two seasons.
