Luis Ogenio hit .235 for the Netherlands Antilles national team in the 1955 Pan American Games, the first Pan American Games baseball tournament for the Antilles. He then managed the Antilles in the 1959 Central American and Caribbean Games, their first baseball appearance in the Central American and Caribbean Games. Hitting leadoff as their first batter in a Central American Games, he was 0 for 3 with a run in the opening 21-2 loss to Venezuela, with one error in 12 chances at first base. He started the event 1-for-16 but then was 5 for his final 10 to finish at .231. He fielded .969 as their main 1B, scoring 3 runs in 8 games, and also played a little at 2B, SS, RF and LF.
