Biographical Information

The son of shortstop Giraldo González, Luis González played five seasons for Pinar del Río in the Cuban Serie Nacional. He was 0 for 2 as a rookie in 2002-2003. He hit .289/.347/.422 in 49 plate appearances in 2003-2004.

In 2004-2005, Luis slipped to .196/.229/.261 in another backup role. He played four games but did not bat in 2005-2006 and was 3 for 22 with 5 walks in 2006-2007. The utility man finished his career with a .220/.290/.297 batting line in 92 games, with 28 runs and 10 RBI. He fielded .933.
