Luis Durán (Panama)

Luis Durán was a shortstop who played in Panama from 1979-1998. He retired with 521 hits and 53 home runs; as of 2014, he was 14th in career hits and 15th in home runs. He hit .256/.302/.385 with 5 runs and 4 RBI in 12 games in the 1984 Amateur World Series, fielding .984 at SS for Panama. He later was named Manager of the Year in Panama and guided the Panamanian national team in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games (7th place).
