Biographical Information

Relief pitcher Luis De La Cruz has played in the San Diego Padres minor league system since being signed by the club as an undrafted free agent on February 8, 2007.

The hurler spent 2007 and 2008 with the DSL Padres, 2009 and 2010 with the AZL Rockies and 2011 with the Eugene Emeralds. In 2012, he pitched for the Fort Wayne Wizards and in 2013, he was with the Lake Elsinore Storm. He began 2014 with the San Antonio Missions and had a 1.71 ERA through his first 27 appearances.
