Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Lucius Morgan played in the minor leagues from 1947 to 1954. By 1948, he was a .300 hitter, batting .305 with 22 stolen bases in 116 games for the Pensacola Fliers. He didn't surpass the .300 mark again until 1951, when he hit .304 with 172 hits, including 44 doubles and 10 triples, in 150 games between two clubs. In 1953, he batted .330/.431/.548 with 16 home runs, 88 RBI, 69 walks and just 24 strikeouts in 105 games for the Sandersville Wacos; He also served as manager of the Wacos for part of the season, replacing Parnell Ruark and being replaced by Julian Morgan.

His statistical record is incomplete, however he finished with at least 1,012 hits and 47 home runs over eight seasons.
