Biographical Information[edit]
Loyd Colson pitched one game near the end of the 1970 season for the New York Yankees, giving up a run in two innings of relief. He was at Bacone College at the same time as Gerry Pirtle, and both were drafted by the Yankees. While Colson made it to the majors at 22 in 1970, Pirtle labored until 1978 for his shot.
