Biographical Information[edit]
Louis Reynolds was an early black baseball first baseman who played for the Pre-Negro Leagues Chicago Unions club in 1897 and 1899. In 11 career games, Reynolds hit .467. In 49 plate appearances, he picked up 21 hits, 2 home runs, and 11 runs batted in. He also took 1 walk, and was hit by a pitch once.
He is laid to rest in Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee.
