Biographical Information[edit]

Louis Bischof has played for the Swiss national team.

He was 0 for 3 in the 2019 B-Level European Championship. [1] At the time, he played for the Wil Devils of the Ligue Nationale A. [2] He was 2-for-3 with a walk, hit-by-pitch, four steals in four tries, two runs and four RBI in the 2021 European Championship Qualifiers. He tied Mike McGee for 8th in swipes. [3] During the 2022 European Championship Qualifiers, he was 1-for-11 with a double, run and a RBI but Switzerland won a spot in the 2023 European Championship, their first European Championship. [4]

At the 2023 Euros, he debuted in their opener against Israel, taking over in right field late in a 14-1 loss and immediately catching a fly from Nadav Machlin but did not get to bat. He struck out against Italy's Gabriele Quattrini his first time to the plate but singled off him the next trip around the order. He then left for pinch-hitter Regis Reinhard. [5]
