Biographical Information[edit]
Lou Campo was an early pioneer of Italian baseball, managing Ambrosiana Milano for over 40 years, sometimes in Italy's top league, sometines in lesser loops. He translated a set of baseball rules into Italian (published in 1951) and also translated Casey At The Bat into Milanese. Campo worked for the US State Department and returned to the US late in life. In 2006, he was part of the second class of the Italian Baseball Hall of Fame.
