Biographical Information[edit]

Lloyd Christenbury, who played four seasons in the majors, had sharp ups and downs in his career. His peak was in 1921 when, in 125 at-bats, he hit .352 and slugged .504 as the backup second baseman for the Boston Braves. In his other years, he played in the outfield more than in the infield. Overall, he batted .273/.362/.365 in 205 games between 1919 and 1922.

Lloyd was at Davidson College in 1914 and also played football there. After baseball, he worked as a shipping clerk.
