Linear weights
Linear weights is a Sabermetric system for calculating a player's value in which every possible event is assigned a value. These are then totaled into a number of runs produced or lost. It was pioneered by F.C. Lane and George Lindsey but were developed by Pete Palmer in 1984. They are often used as a solution to the problem presented by Bases Fallacy, most notably in WAR, WARP, and FIP.
