The city of Lincoln, NE rejoined the Western League in 1906 after over a decades' absence. The team went 75-74 and finished in second place, a distant 23 games behind the Des Moines Champs. The workhorse of the staff was someone named Eyler (26-21) while a Quillin led the team in batting average (.350). The next season the team was renamed the Lincoln Tree Planters.
