Spanish Baseball League
(Redirected from Liga Nacional División de Honor)
The Spanish Baseball League (formerly the Division de Honor) is the top baseball league in Spain. Teams from the Division de Honor have won the European Cup on occasion, ranking third in European Cup titles behind the Dutch Hoofdklasse and Italian Baseball League. While former major leaugers are rare, many teams have players with minor league experience. A large portion of the league consists of Venezuelan players with some other Latin Americans and Europeans joining the native Spanish players. Many Division de Honor teams are fielded by organizations known primarily for soccer, for whom baseball is a secondary or tertiary operation.
