Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Liang-Wei Chiang played in the CPBL for 6 years.

Chiang was drafted by the Uni-President Lions in the ninth round of the 2015 CPBL Draft, but he mainly stayed in the minor league in his first four seasons, only playing 5 games with the big club in 2018. He hit .243/.353/.378 in 41 games in 2019, and his batting line was .212/.395/.394 in 2020. Chiang was 1-for-8 with 3 runs scored in the 2020 Taiwan Series, and he got his first Taiwan Series title as the Lions beat the CTBC Brothers in 7 games. He was 4-for-18 in the 2021 season, then he hit .273/.385/.341 in 2022. However, Chiang only played 3 games with the big club in 2023, then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Chiang had hit .240/.353/.371 with 55 hit in 6 seasons in the CPBL.
