Lexington Bees

From BR Bullpen

In 1938 the formerly independent Lexington Giants of the KITTY League affiliated with the Boston Bees and switched their name to the Lexington Bees. Lexington went 66-50 with 2 ties, good for third place in the KITTY. The official scorer for the team left the entries for walks, hit by pitch and strikeouts blank, leaving the league records for the season incomplete. The team lacked an All-Star - their best player was possibly pitcher Dolly Lambert (18-14, 2.67) while Al Javery (7-7, 4.70) had the best big-league career from the team. The Bees were Lexington's last entry in the KITTY League.
