Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Lewis Bishop played in the minor leagues from 1960 to 1962. He hit .313/.432/.566 with 23 home runs, 93 RBI, 106 runs and 94 walks mostly (403 AB) for the Carlsbad Potashers, though he also had 28 at-bats for the Triple-A Houston Buffs, hitting .071. He led the Sophomore League with 23 home runs. He slipped to .222/.313/.343 with 1 home run and 13 RBI in 99 at-bats for the Wenatchee Chiefs in 1961, but hit .290/.388/.408 with 2 home runs and 23 RBI in 45 games for the Lakeland Giants in 1962 to wrap up his career. Overall, he hit .295/.406/.499 with 26 home runs, 134 RBI and 201 hits in 208 games over 3 seasons.
