Biographical Information

Lew Wendell was in pro ball from 1911-27, coming to the majors in 1915-16 and 1924-26 during that period. He also managed the Greenville Spinners for part of 1921.

Per a newspaper report of the era, Wendell was being groomed to take the place of Chief Meyers of the 1915 and 1916 New York Giants.
