Biographical Information

Leugim Barroso has an unusual first name, Miguel spelled backwards. He had hit .283 in 3 seasons through 2007-2008. At age 23 in 2008-2009, he hit .287/.336/.343 for the Industriales and fielded .962 on the infield. He led the Serie Nacional with 17 sacrifice hits.

Barroso improved to .315/.379/.468 in 2009-2010 and again fielded .962. He made a crucial error that set up two runs in game two of the finals that year.
