Biographical Information[edit]
Lester Rodney was the first sports editor of The Daily Worker, getting the job in the 1930s. He significantly expanded the newspaper's coverage of sports and used the forum to push for the integration of baseball. He was with The Daily Worker until it folded in 1958. He was honored in the Baseball Reliquary in 2005 for his work in integrating the game.
