Lester Fortuin has pitched for the Thistle Baseball Club of the Western Cape League in South Africa. He was chosen for the South African national team in the 2001 Baseball World Cup but was a late cut due to surgery. He was with the South African squad in the 2006 World Baseball Classic but did not pitch in that event.
