Biographical Information[edit]
León Díaz was an outfielder on the Venezuelan national team that won the 1944 Amateur World Series. When the Venezuelan League formed, he hit .276 and slugged .339 for the Patriotas de Venezuela in the first season, 1946. He fell to .182/?/.197 in 1946-1947 and was 0 for 4 in 1947-1948. He managed the team that winter as well (13-26) and also in 1948-1949 (14-17).
