Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Leo Wells was sold by the St. Paul Saints to the Chicago White Sox after the 1941 season for $15,000. He played for the Sox in 1942, served in the Coast Guard during World War II, then returned to the Sox in 1946. After his playing career ended, he moved back to St. Paul, MN, where he died at age 88.
