Biographical Information[edit]
Leo Ogorek spent 12 seasons in the minor leagues, playing from 1930 to 1941.
He batted over .300 nine times. In 1930, with the Lincoln Links, he hit .337 in 116 games, but did not place very high on the leader board in the high-offense Nebraska State League. 1931 was even better -- back with Lincoln, he hit .349 in 99 games. He slugged double digit triples for the first time in 1932, when he whacked 10 for the Des Moines Demons (he might have had more -- he also played briefly with the Kansas City Blues, but his stats are not available). He next had 10+ three-baggers in 1935, when he hit 11 for Des Moines.
All told he played 1,275 in his career, hit around .312 and hit at least 73 triples.
