Biographical Information

Len Bramson served in World War II as a naval signalman. He later edited the Hockey News. A broadcast executive, he set up the broadcasting networks for both the Montreal Expos, when they were created in 1969, and the Toronto Blue Jays when they joined them in 1977. He also secured broadcast rights for the All-Star Game and World Series throughout Canada in both French and English, ensuring that those games were available everywhere for Canadian fans.

He was president of Telemedia Broadcast Sports (TBS Sports), a network of television and radio stations across Canada that carried Blue Jays game, and a partner in Hewpex Broadcast Sales, owning radio rights to the Blue Jays and Expos. He was given the Jack Graney Award in 2005.
