Biographical Information[edit]
Len Boehmer played three seasons in the majors. He was the last player from St. Louis University to come to the majors until the debut of James Norwood in 2018. Boehmer got almost all of his playing time with the 1969 New York Yankees, for whom he played mostly first base. The regular first baseman that year was Joe Pepitone. He was in the minors starting in 1961, and hit .329 for Macon in 1964. He was in double figures in home runs five times. He spent five years in the International League, hitting .326 for Syracuse in 1971.
