Lemay de la Rosa pitched 10 seasons for La Habana. He was 47-34 with 24 saves and a 4.08 ERA in 192 career games. In 2000-2001, de la Rosa was 14-1 to lead the Cuban Serie Nacional in winning percentage. He pitched for the Cuban national team in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, allowing 3 walks, one hit and one run in two innings over 3 games for the Gold Medal winners. He was Cuba's least-used hurler in the event and was the only southpaw hurler on the roster.
